The Radiotherapy Network Oversight Group agree the Network work programme every year based on the requirements set up in the NHS Long Term Plan for Cancer.

In 2023/24, the top three ODN programme objectives are:

  • Continue implementation of Stereotactic Ablative Body Radiotherapy (SABR) and supporting the providers through shared learning across the Network
  • Delivery of the Network-wide radiotherapy service demand and capacity study to support the providers in the robust future service and workforce planning and improve cross-centre collaboration
  • Engagement with system partners, HEIs and providers to increase placements for therapeutic radiographers and utilisation of the available NHSE Workforce funded streams
